Procedure

Charge water (A) into the main vessel. With moderate mixing, add Natrlquest E30 (B). Begin heating batch to 65°C. Add BTMS 225KC and mix. Mix until completely melted and uniform. Remove heat and add Glycerin and Zemea. At 45°C, add Phase B sequentially. Continue mixing. At 40°C, add the fragrance and preservative. Adjust the pH of the batch using Citric Acid 50% solution to 4.6-5.2.

Properties

Appearance—White lotion; pH—4.6-5.2; Viscosity (Brookfield TC @ 12 rpm, 25°C), cps—12,000-25,000; Stability—8 weeks at room temperature, 45°C, 5°C, and 3 cycles of freeze/thaw.
